We planned to stay in LV for 3 months this year. We wanted to rent a extra nice condo and find out if we would like LV as our second home. We settled on a new condo on the central strip called SKY.
It looked nice on the Internet for $2,450 per month. Agent assured us of NO noise. We wrote into the contract NO noise. When we got there, a casino was being built out our window. Work was scheduled from 5 am to 10 pm. we stayed in the place 9 hours.
Since we have a block on our credit reports so we had ended up paying for the 3 months in advance - $7,350 rent and $250 application fee, It took 36 hours to get this cash back by certified check. The threat to fill a complaint with the Licencing board made the difference.
we went on out to LA for 2 days and saw a niece and her family. We had two very expensive and good lunches (for us): 1. at the Polo lounge 2. at the Ivy. Nancy says that she saw some STARS but .........
We drove out and back on I-40. Gas was about $600 and motels about $400.
